BUZZ

Buzz is a short dance performance by Lisa Maris McDonell. It seeks to express the effects of urban, electronic and industrial noise on our body’s systems and psychology. It describes in movement and video projection how the buzz that surrounds us in our every day lives on within our bodies.

Buzz has been performed in Sydney and Mexico City.

It was selected from a pool of over 400 works from around the world to be performed at the Festival of International Contemporary Dance in Mexico City where it was selected as a finalist and won a Special Panel Prize at the First Contest For Mature Soloists.

The work received funding from the New South Wales government to cover the costs of travel to the festival.
