About Lisa Maris McDonell (Lesson Plan Author)

In addition to being a currently working choreographer, Lisa Maris McDonell has taught contemporary dance, ballet, choreography, improvisation, repertoire, dance history, movement studies, industry studies and company class at many renowned  Australian organisations and institutions such as the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (Edith Cowan University) Dance and Musical Theatre departments, NAISDA Dance College, Bangarra Dance Theatre, Sydney Dance Company, University of Wollongong, Australasian Dance Collective and  the full-time vocational course at Joanne Grace School of Dance, as well as Coláiste Stiofáin Naofa and Cork City Ballet in Ireland and The Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory in Turkey. She has around 25 years of teaching experience and continuously updates and revises her teaching practices to reflect the current needs of today’s dance students.
