Performance Specifics

Touring Party (15 La Infinita and Proper Motion or 10 Proper Motion only)

Twelve or seven dancers (seven Australia five Mexico), one Director, one production manager / lighting / audio operator, one producer.

Runtime

This production is approx. 60 minutes in duration without an interval. A ten minute introduction with audience interaction is also optional.

Suitable venues

This production is suitable for theatres, black box venues, large studio spaces or outdoor venues with a performance space of at least 10 x 8 metres.

August 2023 - Teatro de La Danza, Festival of International Contemporary Dance in Mexico City.

 Design Details

The space is wide and empty, surrounded on the perimeter by black tabs and a smother with the audience looking front on. On the prompt and OP edges of the stage there is lighting booms to light the dancers from the side. There are also front of house and upstage lighting bars used to give the dancers front and back light. At both downstage corners of the space there are speakers placed for audio.

Technical Details

The scale of the design and technical infrastructure is subject to change in consultation with the venue.

 Stage

The work could be performed on most stages, preferably at least 10 by 8 metres in size.

Lighting

The LX equipment required for the show;

·      6x boom bases and poles (2m high)

·      14x profile lights

·      10x wash lights

·      6x LED wash lights

·      1x haze or fog machine

·      1x lighting control console (preferably ETC family)

·      Assorted 240v and DMX cabling

Sound

·      The AX equipment required for the show;

·      2x speakers for auditorium fill

·      2x foldback speakers for stage fill

·      1x radio microphone

·      1x audio control console (with an AUX cord for a laptop supplied by the company)

·      Assorted 240v and XLR cabling

Venue Crew

The venue would need to provide 1 crew person to assist the touring production manager with lighting and audio installation. The shortest possible time that the show could be bumped in before a performance would be 5 hours.
